I’m SO excited to share this with you. It’s a campaign that I’ve been working on for the past few months and it’s finally out there! Let me tell you about it….
It was whilst looking in a mirror moisturising myself that I noticed the lump in my right boob. A month later I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Almost daily I count my lucky spiders that I found it when I did. Breast cancer can be SO treatable with early detection. So that was the bone that this chihuahua hasn’t been able to put down for some time. Much to everyone’s annoyance.
So yes, I’ve been rather obsessive about getting others to check themselves. If it can happen to me then it can happen to anyone. I wanted people to be reminded to check actually IN a place where they could do it on the spot. Where better than in a shop changing room?? In the time it takes you to try on that frock you could have a quick rummage around your fun bags. SO I came up with a sticker which shows the top signs of breast cancer and with the amazing support of ITV Lorraine I have been on a mission to get these stickers in as many shops as possible.
So far John Lewis, Asda, David Lloyd, Monsoon, Oasis and M&Co have signed up. That’s literally thousands of stickers all across the UK. There are more big retailers about to join which I’m keeping everything crossed will happen. I’ve been so incredibly overwhelmed by the support from everyone. Most importantly I’ve had messages from people who have found a symptom and are in the process of getting it checked out! Wow. That’s just amazing.
